Boot Camp


BOOT CAMP is an 8 week extreme fitness class
for getting in shape, weight loss, and working out with a buddy. This one hour military style work out challenges body, mind, and spirit. Training Officer, Bob Hines runs you through the paces on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 5:45-6:45 AM.  Class meets at the AROC in good weather, or in the gym for inclement weather or temperatures below 40. 

New recruits may join at any time.

Class Descriptions

 

Pilates, a non-impact stretch, strength, and flexibility exercise class.  Cardio level is low to moderate. Classes held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 8:30 AM in the Aerobics Room.  NO childcare. Fee by 8  week cycle.

 

Shape-Up, group exercise designed help you  stay active, staying ageless.

This 45 minute class will stretch, strengthen, and get your heart pumping. Sometimes you use chairs, balls, rubber bands, or even your own body to get the blood pumping and keep you moving.  Class meets every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning at 9 AM in the Aerobics room.  No fee.

 

Cardio – Sculpt, a moderate to high cardio level class with moderate impact. Instructors use weights, resistance bands, resist-a-balls, step aerobics, and land aerobics combos in this 60 minute workout.  Class meets Tues. & Thurs. morning at 9 AM (with childcare provided).  Fee by 8 week cycle.

 

Boot Camp  A 1 hr military style workout to transform body, mind and spirit.  Class meets M-W-F at 0545 at the AROC – outdoor center or for rain or temperatures below 40° meet in Gym 2.  Fee by  8 week cycle.



AM Classes: When Winston-Salem/ Forsyth County Schools are delayed or closed due to weather, there will be NO Aerobics class.

PM Classes: Cancelled when Calvary Baptist Church is closed. Listen to WSJS or call Calvary’s weather information line at 714-5599 for closure postings.
